Nani's Dasara Telugu Movie Review

Dasara, starring Nani, is off to a fantastic start at the box office. On March 30—the day of Ram Navami—the Telugu action comedy was launched in theatres all throughout India. Most areas in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana reported record-breaking foot traffic on day one, proving that the film's festive release and popularity paid off.

When Dasara recorded Rs 5.42 crore in advance sales on day one, it shattered the record for advance booking for a Nani movie. Before this, no Nani movie has earned more than Rs 3 crore. This suggested that the movie was positioned for a huge opening. The movie is anticipated to debut to a massive Rs 17 crore on the first day, which would be significantly greater than any previous Nani film has so far accomplished.

The Telugu version of the movie consistently saw occupancy of above 60% throughout the day, indicating good word of mouth. Even taking into account the night shows, which typically have higher capacity, the occupancy in Warangal is approaching 90% and in Hyderabad is as high as 80%.

Unfortunately, because the dubbed versions underwhelmed, the movie's plans to be seen throughout all of India suffered. The causes include Pathu Thala's Tamil and Bholaa's Hindi rivalry, as well as the film's lack of excitement outside of Telugu markets. Dasara has only been able to fill 6-8% of the seats in Hindi shows, and 14–18% of the seats in Tamil. The Kannada programmes had a rough start but got better throughout the day. It is evident that the original Telugu version will generate the majority of Dasara's revenue.

According to industry experts, Dasara will surpass the lifetime earnings of Nani's two biggest songs, Ninnu Kori and Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, in its first weekend alone. Just over Rs 50 crore was made by both movies. This is the actor's best and biggest release to date, playing on over 1300 screens throughout Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Keerthy Suresh also plays the lead in Dasara, which was directed by Srikanth Odela. It is being marketed as Nani's first pan-Indian project and is being produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner.
